DPC: PARTNERS IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

DPC was established in Ankara in August 2004 to provide technical assistance to local communities, private institutions and government authorities in undertaking development projects. Its birth came at a time when Turkey has embarked on a process of institutional and economic reforms to end its persistent boom and bust cycles and take on the challenges of an increasingly more competitive world. Being at a unique geographic position, the country was also being called upon to play a bridging role between the contrastingly evolving continents of Europe and Asia.

DPC draws expertise from the wealth of project experiences and database of tools and good practices of its international staff, associate consultants, and partners. It aims to provide technical assistance in the administration of the entire project cycle -- from planning and resource mobilization onto implementation management and evaluation. Apart from consultancy, it will also take a lead in establishing collaborative social enterprises that will provide urgent and innovative solutions which the private market sector alone is unprepared to undertake.

DPC will match the needed project resources with appropriate donors and cooperators. In so doing, it will ensure that all the concerns of the involved parties will be addressed and that the project will be done according to mutually agreed upon standards and norms.
